Free Skin Screening Helps Westchester Residents Prevent Cancer

Westchester residents came out to have their skin examined by dermatologists and were given recommendations for further steps. They also had the opportunity, at the event, to schedule follow-up appointments with Montefiore Einstein doctors.

More than three million people are diagnosed with skin cancer each year in the United States. It’s one of the most common cancers in America, but it’s also often preventable and curable thanks to sunscreen, early detection and treatment.
