At the annual American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) National Conference and Exhibition in Anaheim, California, pediatricians from Children's Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM) and Albert Einstein College of Medicine students made a significant contribution with their presentations, moderated and hosted breakout sessions, and saw one of their CHAM physicians honored with an award.

The AAP Section on Epidemiology and Public Health presented their Outstanding Achievement Award for the Application of Epidemiologic Data to Improve Child Health to Jessica Rieder, MD, MS, Attending Physician, Division of Adolescent Medicine, and Director of B'N Fit Power Program, Children’s Hospital at Montefiore; and Associate Professor, Pediatrics, and Director of Impact Course, Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

In addition, Daphne T. Hsu, MD, Pediatric Cardiologist, Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, and Professor and Cardiologist, Montefiore Einstein, moderated the Young Investigators Award Abstracts, and the AAP Trivia Night was co-hosted by Michael D. Cabana, MD, MPH, Physician-in-Chief, Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, Professor of Pediatrics, and the Michael I. Cohen, MD, University Chair of Pediatrics, Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
