More than two dozen runners represented Children’s Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM) in the 51st TCS New York City Marathon on November 6. The hospital’s team, Champions for CHAM, raised more than $100,000 running in the event.
All donations support the Quality in Life Team (QUILT) at CHAM, which provides services critical to optimizing outcomes for pediatric patients and their families, including integrative medicine, palliative care and parent support groups. Gifts are still welcome at the team’s JustGiving website.

“We are so incredibly proud of our colleagues who worked and ran the NYC Marathon,” said Michael D. Cabana, MD, MPH, Physician-in-Chief, Children's Hospital at Montefiore, Professor, Pediatrics, and the Michael I. Cohen, MD, University Chair of Pediatrics, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, who was at the race to cheer on colleagues.
Volunteers from Montefiore Einstein also were on hand to cheer runners on at the rally point in the Bronx.

Next year’s marathon will be held on November 5, 2023. Any runner interested in joining Champions for CHAM should reach out to Mary Anna Smith at maryanna.smith@einsteinmed.edu.
