Congratulations to Amanda C. North, MD, on her appointment as the new Chief of Urology at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein (CHAM).
A longtime member of the Montefiore Einstein community, Dr. North steps into this new role as an expert in Pediatric Urology. Her specialization lies in the care and treatment of children with complex voiding problems and congenital anomalies of the urinary tract and perinatal issues in urology. Her research has focused on workforce issues in medicine including physician burnout, and she currently serves as the Chair of the American Urological Association Data Committee. She is the first woman on the executive board of the New York Section of the American Urological Association.
Dr. North is the recipient of the Montefiore Staff and Alumni Association Award and the American Medical Women’s Association Janet M. Glasgow Memorial Achievement Award. She is also an Associate Professor of Urology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
