Montefiore Einstein welcomes Jenny T. Bencardino, MD, who joins the faculty as an Attending Physician in Radiology at Montefiore Einstein and as Vice Chair of Academic Affairs and Professor of Radiology (Musculoskeletal Radiology) at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Her clinical interests focus on the imaging diagnosis, follow-up and treatment of sports-related injuries of the musculoskeletal system and peripheral nerves. Dr. Bencardino’s research focus is on MRI metrics for the diagnosis and follow-up of diseases affecting the microstructure and function of articular cartilage, bone, muscle and nerves.
Dr. Bencardino has been honored with multiple awards throughout her career, including the International Skeletal Society’s (ISS’s) President’s Medal (2013) and ISS Medal (2023) as well as the Honored Educator Award (2014) from the Radiological Society of North America.
