Continuing Our Decade-Long Tradition of Marching on World Pride Day

Montefiore Einstein continues its tradition of marching on World Pride Day. Our associates proudly packed the Montefiore Einstein float at the New York City Pride March for the 10th consecutive year. Montefiore Einstein has been a leader in LGBTQ+ healthcare for more than 30 years. Our hospitals, community health centers, and specialty clinics deliver general and specialty care in a safe and welcoming environment.

For the 10th year in a row, Montefiore Einstein has earned a perfect score and has been designated as a top “LGBTQ+ Healthcare Equality Leader” from the Human Rights Campaign Healthcare Equality Index (HEI). The HEI serves as the gold standard in benchmarking healthcare institutions on policies and practices dedicated to the equitable treatment and inclusion of LGBTQ+ patients, visitors, and employees.

From our groundbreaking Adolescent AIDS Program, which serves young people from ages 13 to 24 years old, and our Oval Center, which serves adults, to providing care for the largest population of adults living with HIV/AIDS in New York State, our dedicated staff takes pride in serving the LGBTQ+ community with compassion and respect. Montefiore Einstein will continue to be a leader in LGBTQ+ care into the future with the development of an interdisciplinary, pragmatic research initiative for gender and sexual minority health, aimed at improving the health and well-being of the LGBTQ+ communities we serve.
