Montefiore Einstein welcomes Matthew S. Wieder, MD, who joins the faculty as the Associate Director of the Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences Residency Program and Attending Physician, Vitreoretinal Surgery, Montefiore Einstein.
With Dr. Wieder’s subspecialization in vitreoretinal surgery, his clinical focus is on the medical and surgical management of all disorders of the retina and vitreous. As a retina specialist, his research interests center on retinal detachment repair, diabetic retinopathy, sickle cell retinopathy and ophthalmology education. He is also an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences and Pediatrics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
