Congratulations to Elizabeth J. Chuang, MD, MPH, Course Director, Research Ethics for the Clinical Research Training Program, and Associate Professor, Family and Social Medicine and Epidemiology & Population Health (Biomedical & Bioethics Research Training), Albert Einstein College of Medicine, on her appointment as the new Director of the Montefiore Einstein Center for Bioethics.
Dr. Chuang has been an active member of the Center for Bioethics since 2017 and has made outstanding contributions to the pedagogy, clinical care and research efforts that distinguish the Center for Bioethics as a nationally recognized leader of this discipline.
Her research and National Institutes of Health (NIH) funding have garnered national recognition, and she is a sought-after speaker on end-of-life issues and the bioethical implications of caring for this vulnerable population. Dr. Chuang is a member of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine and the American Society for Bioethics and Humanities.
