A team of pharmacy residents and clinical pharmacist preceptors from Montefiore Einstein showcased their research and performance improvement project work with poster presentations at the 57th American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) Midyear Clinical Meeting and Exhibition in Las Vegas—the largest annual gathering of pharmacists. Overall, more than 25,000 pharmacy professionals from around the world attended this event.

The conferences also are forums to recruit pharmacists and graduate students. For example, approximately 50 candidates from various pharmacy schools and PGY1 programs visited the Montefiore booth at the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting and expressed interest in applying to Montefiore Einstein training programs.
In October and November, the PGY1 and PGY2 pharmacy residency teams attended other showcases at pharmacy schools, including Long Island University, St. John’s University and Touro University.
