Thousands of runners and walkers braved the elements to participate in the 15th annual Run for the Wild 5K run and 3K family event at the Bronx Zoo on April 29.
Fifteen Years Proudly Partnering with the Wildlife Conservation Society on Run for the Wild at the Bronx Zoo
Many participants and volunteers were armed with stuffed or inflatable sloths to honor this year’s designated animal, the beloved sloth. Proceeds from the 2023 event will go to the Wildlife Conservation Society to support the event’s overall theme of sustainability and conservation.
A signature supporter of the event, Montefiore Einstein, along with the Wildlife Conservation Society, is committed to the expansion of the physical and human sciences.
“The Bronx Zoo and Montefiore Einstein are anchor institutions in the Bronx, with over 100 years in this borough dedicated to the care of the people and animals who live here,” said Melissa Cebollero, Associate Vice President, Community Affairs, Montefiore Einstein. “We are very proud of our longstanding partnership with the Wildlife Conservation Society.”
