Montefiore Einstein welcomes Priyanka M. Patil, MD, who joins the faculty as an Attending Physician in Pathology and the inaugural Associate Director of Resident Wellness and Residency Ombudsperson.
Dr. Patil will serve as a Pathologist on the Gastrointestinal/Liver service, using her expertise to care for patients with gastrointestinal, hepatic and pancreatobiliary disorders. She has a passion for resident education, and in her new role as leader of the Resident Wellness Program, she liaises with the graduate medical education wellness office and mediates resident concerns.
Dr. Patil was recently elected to the House of Delegates at the College of American Pathologists (CAP) New York Delegation in 2023 for a three-year term. She and her colleagues are the voices of all members as they help connect CAP leadership and pathologists in the United States. She has also won the outstanding speaker award during her residency training at the 2018 Pathology Research Symposium. Dr. Patil also is an Assistant Professor of Pathology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
