Liise-anne Pirofski, MD, FIDSA, Selma and Dr. Jacques Mitrani Chair in Biomedical Research and Chief, Division of Infectious Diseases, and Professor, Medicine, Microbiology and Immunology, Montefiore Einstein, was recently honored with the Walter E. Stamm Mentor Award 2022 by the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA). The award is presented to an IDSA member or fellow who has been exceptional in guiding the professional growth of infectious diseases professionals.
Dr. Pirofski, a fellow of IDSA (FIDSA), was recognized for helping shape the careers of trainees and faculty members in infectious diseases, especially women and minorities.
