Kyla Lynn’s Kisses of Kindness Makes Holiday Wishes Come True for 30 Children

Thirty children were surprised and delighted to discover that everything on their holiday wish lists was waiting for them at the festive event on December 17. The children and parents of the 12 families nominated by staff at Montefiore Medical Group had endless smiles of gratitude and joy, thanks to generous donations to the Kyla Lynn’s Kisses of Kindness Adopt a Family for the Holidays Program.

The program was established in memory of Kyla Lynn McCarthy, niece of Maureen Scanlan, MSN, RN, NEA-BC, Senior Vice President and Chief Nurse Executive, Montefiore Einstein.

“Kyla Lynn’s Kisses of Kindness Adopt a Family for the Holidays Program was created by my personal family and supported by my Montefiore family to honor the memory of our beloved Kyla, who was lost earlier this year,” Scanlan said.

More than 50 people, from Kyla’s family and Montefiore Einstein were part of the “angel brigade” that made the event possible.
