Supporters of Children’s Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM) will be turning out in droves for the 2022 TCS New York City Marathon on Sunday, November 6.
Montefiore Einstein will be supporting 25 runners, known as Champions for CHAM, during the race with a cheering station near the Dunkin’ Donuts at East 138th Street and Alexander Avenue in the Bronx. It’s off subway line 6: 138th Street and Third Avenue, first stop in the Bronx. Come join us!
“I was fortunate to run the New York City Marathon last year. Anyone who has run the 26.2 miles knows mile 20 is one of the toughest. Fortunately, mile 20 is in the Bronx,” said Michael D. Cabana, MD, MPH, the Michael I. Cohen, MD, University Chair, Department of Pediatrics, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and Physician-in-Chief, Children’s Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM). “I remember being reenergized seeing all the supporters in the Bronx for the Champions for CHAM and the rest of the runners. It was so great to have so much support at that point in the race.”
Champions for CHAM are running to raise money for the Quality in Life Team (QUILT) program at CHAM. Each runner has a minimum fundraising goal of $3,750. Contributions to any of the runners can be made here. All donations support services critical to optimizing outcomes for pediatric patients and their families, including integrative medicine, palliative care and parent support groups.
