Four Montefiore Einstein researchers and doctors presented research this month at the 2022 annual meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology in Chicago (ASCO), the largest oncology conference globally. This was the event’s first year back in person since 2019.
The Montefiore Einstein team presented work on subjects including non-small-cell lung cancer and clinician burnout. Their presentations were seen by an audience of 40,000 oncology professionals from around the world.
So Yeon Kim, MD, PGY6, Hematology Oncology Fellow, Montefiore Einstein Cancer Center, and Nitin Ohri, MD, MS, Radiation Oncologist and Associate Professor, Montefiore Einstein Cancer Center, presented their research associated with non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Dr. Kim’s research focused on exploring DNA alterations associated with NSCLC, and Dr. Ohri’s presentation covered the results of a trial to improve treatment of locally advanced NSCLC.

Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Class of 2023, MD candidate Yana Kost’s presentation reported on the results of a trial for a new therapy to prevent acute radiation dermatitis.
