Continuing the Tradition to March on World Pride Day

Montefiore Einstein continues its tradition to march on World Pride day, and yet again, our associates proudly packed the Montefiore Einstein float.

Montefiore Einstein has been a leader in LGBTQ+ healthcare for over 30 years. Our hospitals, community health centers and specialty clinics deliver general and specialty care in a safe and welcoming environment.

For the eighth year in a row, Montefiore Einstein has earned a perfect score and the top designation of “LGBTQ+ Healthcare Equality Leader” by the Human Rights Campaign Healthcare Equality Index (HEI). The HEI serves as the gold standard in benchmarking healthcare institutions on policies and practices dedicated to the equitable treatment and inclusion of LGBTQ+ patients, visitors and employees.

From our groundbreaking Adolescent AIDS Program, serving young people from 13 to 24 years old, to our Oval Center services for adults, to providing care for the largest population of adults living with HIV/AIDS in New York state, our dedicated staff take pride in serving the LGBTQ+ community with compassion and respect. Montefiore Einstein will continue to be a leader in LGBTQ+ care into the future, with the development of an interdisciplinary pragmatic research initiative for gender and sexual minority health, aimed at improving the health and well-being of the LGBTQ+ communities we serve.
