Join the Montefiore Einstein Cancer Center (MECC) this month to promote awareness of the benefits of early detection and prevention of certain cancers, including breast, cervical, colorectal and lung. The MECC events are part of a nationwide public health initiative called Cancer Screen Week.
Community screening education events are:
- December 5, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Moses Campus cafeteria, 4th floor
- December 7, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Wakefield Campus, 1st floor
- December 9, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Weiler Hospital, Einstein Campus, 4th floor
Educational materials, screening program information, nutritional guidance, free snacks and gifts will be provided at these events.
Participating event organizers include breast/cervical cancer screening programs, Bronx Oncology Living Daily (BOLD) program, colorectal cancer screening program, lung cancer screening program and the Montefiore Einstein Department of Radiology.
