A warm welcome to Laurie E. Cohen, MD, who joins Montefiore Einstein as the new Chief of Pediatric Endocrinology & Diabetes at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore.
Dr. Cohen is an expert in growth disorders and short stature in children, specializing in endocrine issues experienced by childhood cancer survivors, including growth hormone deficiency and decreased fertility. Her research focuses on the impact of cancer therapies on growth and the endocrine system in children with central nervous system tumors, as well as other malignancies and bone marrow failure syndromes.
Dr. Cohen is a foremost figure in the pediatric endocrinology community, serving as a leader in the Pediatric Endocrine Society. She also serves as a Professor of Pediatrics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
